More math puzzles

Super Easy : What is the value of the product?
25 x 17 x 4 x20

Easy Puzzle: Two years ago my age was a multiple of six. Last year, it was a multiple of five. I am less than fifty years old. How old am I now?

Somewhat Challenging: Find the value of the following:
100-98+96-94+92-90.....+8-6+4-2

Challenging: At Hudson High school, the first class starts at 8:26 AM and the fourth class ends at 11:26 AM. There are four minutes between classes and each class is the same length. How many minutes are there in one class period?

These puzzles are from the math olympiad contest problems.

Inventions, objects that make our lives much more easier.

Have you heard about a spy pen, or how about a car that runs on dry cell battery's? Lets go back to the nineteen hundreds when the airplane or the camera was invented. Without airplanes, how would we be able to travel across the world to meet family members, or just travel? And without the camera, how would we be able to capture our precious memory's? That all comes to mind if you could imagine what the world would be like if inventors like Albert Einstein, or the Wright brothers. Now if we fast forward into the modern twenty first century, you can see how much the world has turned around. YouTube, and Facebook are inventions that have happened on the the computer, while apple has created the iPhones, and the i-Pad. One of my personal favourite inventions is the spy pen. It has an Mp3 player, recorder, video recorder, and you can take photos. What I found that was simply amazing was that a college team in Japan created a car that ran on forty dry cell battery's, that reached a top speed of sixty five miles per hour! An invention I would want people to invent in the future is a car that can drive itself, so the blind could get from place to place. What are your favourite inventions, and what do you want people to create in the future?

Columbia, the Journey Beyond.

Hi all. I know I haven't posted in a while since I was busy. I am going to try to keep up and post at least once in two weeks. If you want to post something on my blog go to my website. I put a lot of pictures that I took on Facebook.

When I first started our trip to Columbia, I thought I wasn't going to like it there, and it was unsafe. I found out I was wrong. Columbia is a charming place with many warm hearted people(this can't be said for all South American country's though). Our flight to get there(San Francisco to L.A, L.A to San Salvador, and San Salvador to Bogota) was 20 hours, including the time we slept at the airport, and waited. It was long and boring. I only had a lot of fun on our last flight, which we took Avianca Airlines, and got to have a personal T.V. When we reached Bogota, we found out that the Airline(s) had misplaced our baggage! Luckily I had one extra T-shirt left in my carry-on bag, and it was our last change of clothes for the next four days. I gave the T-shirt to my brother, Anav, because of his skin issues. Our hostel that we stayed in was very nice, and I felt welcome there. A good part about the hotel for me was that it had Internet access, and I could work on a school project that I took there to complete. There was a lady that worked there that spoke English, and helped us a lot during our stay in Bogota. Over the next few days, we visited the gold museum, and had fun hanging around downtown, and went to the top of Monteserrat. Personally, I don't think Bogota is very safe after 9 or 10 pm. We met a man that was mugged by three men and lost 50,000 Colombian pesos (about $25), but he was coming back at 10 in the night, alone. We went to a cathedral made of salt (it was pretty cool) about an hour away from Bogota for a side trip. It was called Cathedral De Sal. On our last day in Bogota, our bags came in the night, lucky for us!

From Bogota, we took a bus to the city of Medellin(pronounced Meda-gene). The bus ride a long twelve hours. The thing that REALLY annoyed me on the ride was that my brother kept on sleeping on my lap for a full eight hours! And believe me, when someone lays on you for that long, your leg starts to hurt. When I pushed him upright, he fell right back on me again. We arrived at about 7-8 in the morning. We stayed in another hostel called "yellow house." It was nice. Two dogs that the owner had kept fallowing me everywhere I went. One of the dogs kept on trying to get into our room, since he liked to lay down on the balcony that we had. The room had one bunk bed, and one queen bed. Medellin was an amazing city, my favorite on the trip. Their public transport system was simply amazing! I have never seen anything like it. You can take the metro almost anywhere. From there, you can connect to the cable car to go up a hill, or to the bus station right next to the metro. In the cable car, you can see Medellin; the skyscrapers looked like puny ants from up there, and the view was stunning. We went to so many stations, and the whole price was about (U.S) $2.50. When you are on the the cable car, you can ride it as many times as you want for only 75 cents! We went up the cable car a few nights before Christmas, and you could see so many lights. We went an other night to a type of "light carnival", and they had a whole row of lights down a river. We couldn't even see where the end was. I do admit I got a little annoyed from riding on so my transport systems, but it still was very fun. I definitely recommend you to put Medellin on your travel list.

After Medellin, we took a flight to Cartagena, which is mainly known for its beaches. At night, the old part of Cartagena is very festive. People sing, dance, eat, and just hang out. The coconuts there are really good. I love the coconut water, and meat. The place we stayed in had a small pool, fish pond, hammocks, and a T.V. We were located near the beach and the fort that surrounds old Cartagena. It isn't a very far walk to get to the dock, square, or any other place in Old Cartagena. We also went to see another fort, and the view was spectacular! In the fort there were many tunnels, and we had lots of fun exploring them. We took a small day trip to a beach called Playa Blanca, which was supposed to be a really good beach. In the ship, I got seasick because the boat was turning a lot, and we were on the bottom of the boat. When we got there, we ate a typical lunch with had chicken, or fish, coconut rice, salad, and a small cup of limeade. The water was very warm there. Over the next few hours, we went on a ride where a motorboat pulls a banana shaped thing(I have no idea what it was called), and me, my brother, and my dad got to ride on it. We also went on a jet ski with my mom and brother. After sometime, it started raining like crazy, so we headed back. The next day, we went to a 15 meter high mud volcano, for a mud bath. When we went in, the mud was so warm, and it felt as if you were floating on air, because the mud was so dense. After we got cleaned up, we headed back to Cartagena. We played on the beach a lot too in Santa Marta, a town about 3-4 hours away from Cartagena. The hotel that we stayed there wasn't as nice as the hostels, because you can't really meet and talk to people. We went to a place called Taganga, that was a 15 minute ride from Santa Marta. The water was nice and calm, and perfect for swimming in. The next day, we were supposed to go to the beach, but a lot of things changed. First of all, we had to walk on the road to the trail head, since the bus couldn't pass because of the mud. Another bus's wheels had gotten completely submerged in mud, so they couldn't take it out. Once we got there, we had to walk through lots of mud that made your shoe stuck every time you step into it! We also saw about 999 quadrillion red ants, plus two or three huge spiders. The worst part was that the walk wasn't short. Imagine walking through all that icky mud!! This wasn't anything like the mud bath, and Anav hated it a lot. We headed back to Cartagena after a couple days at Santa Marta.

After our revisit to Cartagena, we went back to Bogota. We were supposed to get a room at the same hostel we started out with, but we had to cancel, because dad didn't read the plane ticket back home properly, and he read the arriving time(6:00 am) instead of (1:00am). So, we camped out at a gigantic mall from 2:00 till 7:00. It sold everything there! The humongus supermarket was small compared to the whole mall! After 7:00, we went to the airport, and slept there for 4-5 hours, until the boarding began. Once we landed in L.A, we had to take another flight to San Francisco. When we landed, we took a bart train to another station, and then switched over to the bigger one. After that, we took our car home, and ended the trip. All in all this trip was pretty hectic, but still very fun. These memories will stay in my head forever.

The 2010 ILP Relay

Last weekend I ran the ILP relay with twelve other runners. The ILP relay is a 200 mile run from Calistoga to Davenport. In the relay, I ran 16.2 miles in total. Our time was 34 hours. Google 1 won again, at a time of 21 hours 9 minutes! The record for the 200 miles was in the year 2,000, when the team Sportbrain ran it in 17 hours and 55 minutes! That is about 5 minutes a mile! Each person on the relay team runs each of there total mileage in sections. For example: I run 6.5 miles, then the other eleven runners run until it is my turn again. This repeats three times. While one person is running, the other teammates that are in the van are supporting there teammate. Runner number ten has the hardest legs. The skill level for that runner is:Very Hard(8.9 miles) Easy(4.2 miles) Very Hard(6.2 miles). In the ILP relay we got 2nd! We beat the next team by about 15 minutes, and the team ahead of us beat us by about 35 minutes, which was really good. If you want more information about the 200 mile relay, go to www.therelay.com. The picture is the map of the relay race.

The Awesome Wii

A couple weeks back I got the Wii! Do you have the Wii. The Wii is a very popular game console. One of the most popular games on the Wii is Super Smash Bros Brawl. Have you heard of that game? The Wii is wireless, which is a good thing about it. Another awesome game is Wii resort. Wii resort is another version of Wii sports. There are 12 games in Wii resort. Some of them are: fencing, archery, frisbee, and skydiving! The game also comes with a Wii motionplus sensor, that when attached to the Wii remote, makes the remote more accurate! There are people called Mii's. They are humans that you can create on the Mii channel. If you like the Olympics, Wii summer and winter Olympics is the right game for you! In the summer Olympics, you get to do everything from running, to swimming. The winter Olympics relates to the winter Olympics a couple weeks back. In conclusion, tell us what your pros and cons are about the Wii.

Vietnam and Cambodia

Over the October break, a couple months ago, I went to Vietnam and Cambodia. It was really fun! I liked it a lot. I also carried a 35 pound backpack, which is pretty heavy. First, we went to a city named Ho Chi Minh city. It was really crowded there, so I did not like it very much. The only place that I like in Ho Chi Minh was the underground caves, and Vietnam was stuff. We went to see where the Vietnam war took place. There were many booby traps, and it was raining, so I got wet. It became more interesting when we went underground in a small space that was used by the solders in the war. We went eleven feet underground. Me and my brother were really scared that it would collapse on us, but we still made it, even with our fear. A few days later, we took a boat across the Mekong Delta to cross over to Cambodia. The boat ride was fun, but we got stuck in rain, so we got soaked like crazy! When the boat ride stopped, we reached the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. It was big, and had a lot of sites to see, but the only problem is, that it was really hot. So, we got all sweaty! One of the sites we saw there was the Notre Dame.

We then took a bus to a city called Siem Reap. This was the best city I had seen through out the trip. It was great because of the temple complexes, called Angkor Wat. The city was so small, yet green. The area was huge! When I sat on top of a temple, all I could see for miles was green! The temples were 250-400 feet tall! It was so beautiful, especially when you saw the temples in the sunrise. Soon, we took an airplane from Siem Reap to Ha Noi, Vietnam. We then took a tour for two days. My brother hurt the backside of his foot while biking on the tour. My dad put my brother on the backside of the bike, and while my dad was biking, my brother put his foot into the bicycle, and crack! His foot got twisted, and the back of his foot was really hurt. For the rest of the trip, we carried him. When we got to our hotel, we fell asleep right away.

We took another tour to Halong Bay. Halong bay is a chain of islands. We explored the bay on a boat. We spent the day on the boat, then slept at a two and a half star hotel. The island was very green. The fallowing night, we slept on the boat. After that, we came back to a mini harbor. All in all, this is my experience in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Cooking!

When I went to cooking camp over the summer, and I learned a lot of recipes. This week, I will be showing you how to make Pot stickers. Yummy!
Pot Stickers
Prep Time: 2 hours
How many we should make: 3-4 dozen

Ingredients
1/2 head of Napa cabbage
1 lb. ground pork....... or tofu
1/2 green onion......... minced
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro..minced
1 knob fresh ginger... 1-inch piece minced
1 Tbsp. fresh chives... minced
1 Tbsp. rice wine... or dry sherry
1 Tbsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper, black
1 clove garlic... minced
12 oz. package of wonton skins(round)
1/4 C. vegetable oil
1 C. chicken stock

DIPPING SAUCE
1/4 C. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
1 tsp. ginger, fresh... minced
1/4 tsp. chili oil
1 clove garlic... minced

STEPS FOR POT STICKERS
1) Prep all ingredients. Combine pork/tofu, cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, cilantro, ginger, chives, rice wine, sesame oil, brown sugar, salt, pepper and garlic. Work with your hands until completely mixed. Heat a frying pan and fry a Tablespoon of mix to check seasoning. Adjust as necessary.
2) Cover the wonton skins with a damp bowl. Place one wonton skin on work surface. Place about 1 Tablespoon of filling into the center of each wonton skin and fold into a half -moon shaped pouch. Make 3 or 4 pleats at the edge to gather the dough around the filling, and line dumplings on parchment covered sheet pan. Use all of the wonton skins.
3) Heat a large frying pan with a tight-fitting lid over the medium-high heat and add the oil. When the oil is hot, add the dumplings to the pan and fry them on one side( usually the edge that is pleated up) until browned, about 2 minutes. Shake the pan to keep them from sticking as they cook.Add the chicken stock to the pan and cover tightly so that the pot stickers steam and cook through. Cook about 5 minutes, or until all the liquid has evaporated from the pan.

STEPS FOR DIPPING SAUCE
1) Combine ingredients in a small bowl and let sit at least 5 minutes until the flavors blend.

After you have finished making Pot Stickers, answer this question, did you like them, or did you not like them.

Math Problem for the Week!

Here is a math problem. Try your best to solve it. It is OK if you get the wrong answer, just try it. After a lot of people have given answers, I will tell the answer. I will give a problem every week. This is a very interesting puzzle I saw form a book, so I decided to use it.

In a stationery store, pencils have one price and pens have another price. Two pencils and three pens cost 78 cents. But three pencils and two pens cost 72 cents. How much does one pencil cost?

My trip to New Jersey!

A week ago I went to New Jersey to visit my uncle! I liked it when me and my little bro got to go on a airplane by our self there! On the way there, we watched two great movies like Monsters vs Aliens, and 17 again! It was a blast. I went to a lot of places there. We went to Washington D.C, the beach, Long wood Gardens and lots of Museums. The beach was really fun. We went there and built a big river in the sand to let the water come in from the ocean and go into the river. We also got candy like Taffy's and gummy sharks! Yummy! Going to the museums were really fun too! We went to the National academy of sciences! It had geckos and butterfly's! The butterfly were cool because of all the great colors! The geckos were so cool to look at hanging upside down! Did you know that one gecko has enough grip to hold two full grown humans? Also, did you know that there are new gecko species been created? I saw three new types of geckos! They make the geckos by putting two geckos in a tub for a long time, and over time, they merge together! Isn't that amazing or what? Also in that museum there were dinosaur skeletons that were really neat! I also saw creatures that I have never seen before! I also liked the Philadelphia museum of art! It was cool seeing all the sculptures that thousands of people worked on. My favorite place in the art museum was the place where they showed all the swords and armor, and all the weapons they used during the middle ages. I mean, come on who doesn't like armor and weapons from the middle ages? There's was also a realistic Spanish courthouse there! There was a fountain in the middle, and it looked 100% realistic. All in all the art museum was great! Another museum that we saw was the Franklin Institute. It was so cool! There was a Star Trek exhibit that blew me away because of all the gears and machines. There was this place in the Star Trek exhibit that had a lot of gears an if you connected all the gears together and you added like a pulley and you turned the main gear, you would get the pulley to move to. There also was a remote control claw that you could control and pick up the blocks! That was astonishing! There was also a bike that you could ride on and it simulated a bike that could float in mid-air! I think long wood gardens was my favorite place of all when we went to New Jersey! It was a huge beautiful garden that had tons of plants! It had a tree house place that you could go on and see the lakes in the evening that was gorgeous. The garden also had lots of fountains in them. Also it had a meadow with a lake that had giant catfish in them! There was also a restaurant that served great food like pizza, cookies and pie ext! We also went to an indoor children's garden that had a dragon, and leaping worms(fake)! There was also a bamboo maze and a garden maze that was huge! In the night, I watched a fountain show that had many, many colors. It had yellow, white, blue, green, pink, purple, and all the other colors in the rainbow. Now for Washington D.C! After a three hour drive, we finally reached Washington D.C! We went into a train station which was right in front of the US capitol! We ate pizza, and set of to see D.C! First we went to the capitol! Then we went to the mall on our way to the air and space museum. In the mall, you could see the capitol on one side, and you could see the national monument on the other side. Once we entered the air and space museum, we saw a lot of airplanes and spacecraft hanging from the roof! They look like models, but they aren't, they are the real thing! We also saw real rocket ships that actually orbited the moon! We went inside a roller coaster simulator that felt like the real ride! After that, we went to the natural history museum! In the natural history museum we saw a lot of dinosaurs there. I also saw many other creatures too! I saw more butterfly's, and we also saw a big insect zoo with scorpions and Beatles, and cockroaches! It was digesting! We also saw lots of ocean animals. Last but not least, we had to see the white house! It was a amazing sight! There was a lot of flowers and plants in the front yard! After a long and relaxing day, we decided to go back to the car using the subway. After another three hour drive back, we finally reached New Jersey! Another 6 hour plane ride back home to San Jose was relaxing. For the first half of the plane ride, I slept, and for the second half, I watched T.V shows! All in all I had a wonderful time in New Jersey!

Museums!

Museums are really great! I have been to a lot of museums. One of my favorite museums is the Tech Museum. I like the Tech Museum because of all the activities there. I like the Roller Coaster simulator because you get to design your own Roller Coaster! I also like the i-max theater because it is big and you actually get the felling that you are in in the movie that is shown there. Did you know that the i-max theater can hold, contain, 2,700,000,000 m&ms! Also did you know that it can hold up to six houses inside? One of the most interesting facts is that it's film roll for the Harry Potter movies is five miles long! One of the biggest hits in the museum is the Virtual World exhibit! The Virtual World exhibit is a online computer game that you can play with other players. It was created by kids! In the game you can dress your self, you can go into a house, you can create other items, you can fly, and you can go on jet skis in the game! It is really fun. All in all tell us about your favorite museum.

The Start of School!

I can't believe that the summer is almost over! In less than a week school will start! I can't wait till I meet the new forth graders in my class. I am getting nervous about my school supplies, because we did not get most of them! I only have one day to get all my school supplies all together! I am sort of nervous of going to school again after a long relaxing seven week break! I am nervous because I forgot a lot of the math and science! All in all, I can't wait to go back to school again!

This week at camp!

This week, I went to camp at the Tech Museum! I went to Lego robotics advanced, and video game designing advanced. It was SO cool! Video game designing was great! The first day was horrible because I got homework, but the rest of the days went pretty smooth. The program that we made video games is multimedia fusion. You might think designing video games is pretty easy, but it was super hard! You had to do very complex commands just far a guy to stand on a brick! On Wednesday, we made a mixture a of sounds to create music for our video game. On Thursday we finally got the details of our game. Then, on Friday, we combined me and my partners levels together to make a really awesome game! My game was called time traveler 1. Our first level was in a village. The village had a store, a house trees, palaces, cottages, flowers, and more! The second level was defeating the bosses servants, to get there, you have to go to the very left of the village and you will get there! That level was alarming good, but it was very hard! The boss level was good to. Lego Robotics was excellent! We programmed the robot so it was going to get a ball wherever I throw it in the room. It worked when we practiced, but not when the parents came! All in all, this week at the Tech was great.

MT.WHITNEY!

This weekend I climbed Mt. Whitney! I could not make it to the top last time because my dad got me lost in the snow, and also we left at 12:00 am, so it was very, very dark. Never go in Spring, Fall or Winter because you will get lost in the snow! This time we made it because there was no snow, and also we made it because we left at 9:00 am. After 9:00, we went on the route. We passed a very beautiful meadow that had streams, fish, and plants. After a long time, we got to trail camp. we slept there for the night. The next morning we had to go through over a hundred and five switchbacks that were really long. You might think that it is very easy, but it seems that the path goes on forever! At 14,000 feet I kept throwing up! When I was going down from the mountain, my tummy really hurt, but I kept on going. Once I reached the tree line, I felt much better that oxygen was coming back into my lungs, but I could not swallow that well. After 12,000 feet going down, I went really fast to the bottom in 3-6 hours. The entire MT. Whitney path is 22 miles in total, round trip. The car ride back to San Jose was at least 7-8 hours, but I went to sleep. Please comment on this post if you have any questions, and I will answer them. Thanks!

Camps!

During the summer vacation you can go to camps if your parents are still at work. Last week, my mom signed me up for Lego robotics, and tech explorers at the Tech Museum. It was awesome! They gave you hot lunch if you did not want to take lunch from home! The bad part was that you had to pay 5$ a day for hot lunch! The good part was that the consulars lets us play around! Also, in Lego robotics camp we made robots, and they even let us program it by myself, with my partner! Also, this week, I am going to the camp called camp explorer! We get to go to the Beachboard walk in that camp! I can not wait! All in all, please tell us if you would want to go to camps and why?

Pollution

Pollution is very bad. Pollution can cause Global Warming, which can make lots of floods. Pollution can also cause the death of some animals, and maybe that species might get extinct. Pollution can kill animals when the animal eats a wrapper, or some type of garbage, it can clog up the tummy. Also, the garbage can also chock the animal. Some ways to stop pollution are............
1.If you see some garbage, pick it up and throw it away.
2.Start a protest to stop pollution.
3.if you see a other person throwing some garbage on the ground, tell them they should not do that.
4.Use electric cars, because the gas from the back of the car is pollution.
All in all, please tell us some reasons how to stop pollution.

Saving Money

The economy is very bad right now. A lot of people are losing jobs, losing there homes, and losing everything they have. We have to save money. Some ways we can save money is.............
1.Stop using the phones a lot, in less OF AN EMERGENCY like if your house is burning down, or something like that. If you use the phone to much, you will have to pay a lot of money on the phone bill.
2.Do not switch on the water for unessisary causes, like warming your toes, or something like that.
All in all, please tell us some more ways we can save our money.

Magic Tricks, Puzzles, and Riddles.

Magic Tricks are very awesome. They are tricks that are not really magic, but it appears to be magic when the magician does the trick. There are many types of magic tricks. There are card tricks, escape magic, street magic, stage magic, and more! My favorite magic trick is when the magician makes things appear out of nowhere! Puzzles help people think and solve mystery's. Some types of puzzles are crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles, sudoku puzzles, math puzzles, and more! Riddles are a question or a statement requiring thought to answer or understand. This is my favorite riddle:why didn't the skeleton cross the road? He had no guts! Please tell us what is your favorite magic trick, puzzle, or riddle.

AWESOME PETS

Pets are animals that are taken care of by humans. There are many types of pets that I want. For example, I want to have a dog, and I want to have a lizard. My only concern is that I will have to clean there droppings, nasty! I had pets like a lizard, a very motionless fish, and a very speedy fish. Our motionless fish died when my brother spilled water out of the tank, and there was no air in the tank. Our speedy fish died when we gave it too much food! Our lizard didn't pass away though, we just gave him away since it was too much work for my family. All in all, please tell us what pet you have, and if you do not have a pet, tell us what pet you would want to have.

If You Could Make a Holiday!

If you could make a holiday, what would it be? I would make three types of holidays. First, I would make Lego day. Lego day is where you can play with Lego's the entire day! You eat Lego Candy's, Lego muffins, and more. I would also make candy day, where there would be candy milkshakes, candy posters, candy movies, and the pool would be filled with candy instead of water! Also, everybody would be talking about candy! It would be so awesome! Lastly, I would make a holiday called sports. It would be called sports, because everybody would be playing sports all day long. Inventions!

What types of inventions would you make when you are grown up? I would make a robot that could build anything that you wanted. Can't you imagine sitting in a tub full of candy. I would also make a cars that could fly you to wherever you wanted. If I was late for school, I could just tell my car to fly to my school, wouldn't that be sweet! I also want to make a hotel, and every thing is high tech or electronic! The robots could do what ever you wanted them to do in the hotel. Let us know what types of invention would you want to make when you grow up?

Ultra marathons are marathons except that they are 4-7 times longer! Some ultra marathons are the Gobi desert, Sahara desert and many more. People train for theses ultra marathons for years and years until they get really good at running! Many people don't make it to the finish since they are to tired. If you want an helicopter to get you, you light a flame and it will burst into the sky, sending people to find you. My dad runs ultra marathons, after school gets over for me, he will go to Mongolia to run the Gobi desert that is 160 miles long! Isn't that amazing! the Sahara desert is 9,000,000 square kilometers, while the Gobi desert is 1,00 miles long and about 500,000 square miles! All in all, please tell us what you know about Ultra Marathon.

food chains and food webs

A ocean is a great place to study on. We learned about oceans in science! It was so amazing! In oceans, there are many different types of food chains, and food webs. A food chain is different than a food web. A food chain is a animal eating another animal. Here is a example of a food chain= phytoplankton->zooplankton->small fish->bigfish->seals->shark. Did you see how one animal is eating another animal? Well that does not happen in a food web. A food web is a series of animals eating other animals. Here is a example= Shark Whale
big fish seals
krill small fish
phytoplankton zoo- plankton
I can not draw the arrows because you can not draw arrows on a keyboard. Please respond on what you have learned. Bye!

Holidays

Holidays are so fun when you hang out with your family, don't you think so to? I love holidays because, you don't have to go to school, and you get to travel more. My favorite holiday is Christmas because you get a lot of presents, and you get to hang up a lot of decorations! Every year when its Christmas break we go places, like this year we went to India, last year we went to Mexico, and the year before that we went to Venezuela. My second favorite holiday is Thanks giving, because there is a lot of food, and you get to carve the turkey. Every year, we go to my uncles house when its Thanksgiving break, because its our family tradition. Last year I helped carve the turkey, and my baby cousin, Sunaa, was born. I love holidays! Please tell me what is your favorite holiday, and why?

In the games, I won a small dragon, and I named him Lego! On the way back from Six Flags, I watched Tom and Jerry. This year, I am looking forward to having a sleep over party too, or that's what I want to do. Mt. SHASTA!

Can you guess what I did on the weekend, Mt Shasta! Is that amazing, or what! We started of at 4:00 in the mornin-g. It took four hours to get there! To keep myself from being bored, I played a little bit on my dads I-phone! The rest of the time, I slept. When we went there, I looked out my window, and saw lake Shasta! It was amazing sight to see! When we got there we went to the bathroom, and immediately started climbing. At first, the 30 pound backpack felt like 500 pounds, but later it only felt like 15 pounds. We hiked for three hours until we were really high, but we did not make it to the summit because there were 70 mile winds at the top of the mountain! Our tent would go flying down the mountain. Instead of going to the top of the mountain, we put up our tent on the ridge. On the ridge, the winds were at least going thirty miles per hour! When we put up the tent, my dad fell asleep for 1 hour. In the meanwhile, I made a snow cave with the ice axe! I made it, so my body could fit inside! After a little while, I got bored staying in the tent for so long, so we decided to go back down instead of staying the night. Once we got back down to the car, my toes were really frozen from the ice! When we got down to the Shasta village, we went into a cafe, and had pizza and soda there! When we went back into the car, I played on my dads I-phone again, but after 20 minutes, I fell asleep. We reached our house at 11:50 pm. Please comment on this post!

Tech Stuff!

Do you like high tech things, like I-phones, rockets, and space shuttles? Well I sure do! My mom and dad have I-phones, so I get to play on it a lot! I learned that the I-phone is interactive with your hand! You can flip to turn the page, you can slide down for the screen to move down, and you can also touch to select! On the I-phone, you can also get a GPS, a place where you can find restaurants, and more! Rockets are very hard to make. The scientists have to make the rockets go really fast, like 500 mph! They also use something like a rocket during the wars, they are called missiles! The missiles are sort of like bombs, but they first get launched and then blow up, as for bombs, they just blow up when they touch the ground. Missiles are used on airplanes during wars. Space shuttles are used in space. I like space shuttles, because I like space. The shuttles are used to help scientist learn more about space! Isn't that cool! Tell us what is your favorite high tech thing, and why?
